Advertising & marketing. Writing & consulting.
Client satisfaction and making my clients look good are my ultimate goals — and I am extremely proud of the feedback I have received from my clients over the years. Nearly all of my clients are from referrals from other clients. To me, that says a lot.
I am a freelance copywriter and content strategist with extensive experience creating digital and print pieces (branded and unbranded) for both consumer/patient and medical professional audiences. I believe in collaborating with my clients to capture the unique final output they seek — always with a goal of ultimately boosting clients’ ROI. Learn more about how I work »
While I am a medical copywriter, I am a credentialed clinician (RDN) with two MS degrees, and also have a background in medical marketing, creative direction, media strategy recommendations, responsive web design/interactive user experience design best-practice recommendations, and marketing/advertising consultation.
Consulting comes with my copywriting: If you hire me for copywriting, in meetings I will always give my recommendations on all aspects of your advertising/marketing/media plan that you share with me. All meetings are basically a mini-brainstorm/advisory meeting, if you want to spend the time to share and receive.
Beyond simple content creation.
The copy documents I create are easy to understand and mentally visualize as to how the final product will end up. I can format them however you like, but my clients generally love my unique style, which is a manuscript that is more like a wireframe that clearly indicates what goes where, what images I recommend, the linking strategy, etc.
Also, I go beyond just “content creation” and have years of experience developing information architectures (IA) for websites, detail aids, and apps. (An IA is sometimes referred to as a site map, even though technically it is slightly different.) To develop an effective IA, the creator needs to be intimately knowledgeable about your product/service and the content you want to have available. Sometimes the people who are chosen to develop the IA are not familiar with the content, which puts the IA at risk of being developed with good intentions, but not a smart, user-friendly experience in the end. This can kill the success of your site or app. The ability to develop a good site structure is critical for the success of your site. Content needs to be organized smartly. The navigation needs to be intuitive. Users should never have to click to many times to get to the content they seek. The IA needs to make it easy for users to find what they are looking for and is key for getting your user to ultimately do what you’re wanting them to do.
